Jesus J. Martinez | Executive Director & Resident Composer

Jesus J. Martinez is a 2011 graduate from the University of Texas at Arlington in Music Education. He went on to complete his master’s in music composition at Southern Methodist University. In August 2013, he was selected as the SMU Student Composer-in-Residence for the Irving Symphony Orchestra in Irving, TX.


The Julius Quartet | Artists in Residence

Commended for leaving audiences “mesmerized by its resonant sounds” (The Collegiate Times), the Julius Quartet has cultivated a distinguished voice since its formation in 2012.  As passionate chamber musicians, the quartet strives to spread the values of chamber music to diverse communities in addition to presenting their unique expression within the music.  .


Allie Mahmood | Operations Manager

Allie Mahmood is a DFW native and a 2020 graduate from the University of North Texas. Allie was previously the assistant band director at Sam Houston High School in Arlington and was most recently the assistant band director at Travis Middle School in Irving, before coming to Arlington High School. In her free time, she is a freelance flute player and is the operations manager / social media coordinator for a non-profit performing arts organization in Dallas. 

Annabelle Kim | Chief Financial Strategist

Annabelle Kim is a Dallas native and holds degrees from Southern Methodist University in both Flute Performance and Finance. She has been awarded prizes at the Atlanta Flute Society Young Artist Competition and UTA Maverick Flute Competition and serves as a private lesson teacher for the Waxahachie School District. In addition to performing and teaching, she previously served as an investment banker and currently works as a credit investor.


John Batchelder | Co-Artistic Director & Creative Director

Praised for his “persuasively emphatic and engaging” performances (Boston Musical Intelligencer), violist John Batchelder has captivated audiences as a passionate chamber musician, educator and administrator deeply committed to the values of chamber music. In addition to his work as a performer and educator, John now serves as Executive Director of the Dallas Chamber Music Society, celebrating 79 years of presenting the world’s most esteemed chamber music ensembles.


David Do | Co-Artistic Director & Patron Relations

Violinist, David Do, is the second violinist of the The Julius Quartet, and has appeared as an international soloist at the Chichibu International Music Festival in Japan, performing with the Chichibu Festival Orchestra. Furthermore, he has also performed as soloist with various orchestras in the Northern Californian region, including a commissioned work by Kerry Lewis with the San Jose Youth Chamber Orchestra, where he also served as concertmaster.
